About This Coffee

This exceptional peaberry coffee is produced by 235 family-owned farms in Tanzania's Mbozi District. Farmers hand-pick ripe coffee cherries and deliver them to modern centralized processing stations, where the coffee is carefully depulped, fermented, washed, and dried. These community processing facilities have significantly improved consistency and quality, allowing smallholder producers to earn higher prices while bringing outstanding Tanzanian coffee to specialty markets around the world.

Like all peaberries, these beans are a natural rarity. Instead of producing two flat-sided seeds inside the coffee cherry, a peaberry develops as a single, round bean. Many coffee enthusiasts prize peaberries for their concentrated sweetness, balanced flavor, and exceptionally even roasting characteristics.

In the Cup

This medium roast delivers a bold, full-bodied cup with the classic richness that has made Tanzanian coffee a favorite among chocolate lovers. Deep notes of baker's chocolate and roasted cocoa are balanced by warm African spice and subtle smoky undertones, creating a smooth yet powerful cup with a lingering, satisfying finish.

Roast: Medium
Best For: Drip • French Press • Espresso • Moka Pot
